Fresh From Origin
Tucked in between Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, Assam is a T-shaped (no pun intended) state in northeastern India. A haven for endangered species, including the one-horned Indian rhino, Asian elephants, pygmy hogs, tigers, and more, it is also the tea-lover's dream. Combining high precipitation during its monsoon season and high daytime temperatures, it features a greenhouse-like environment that is perfect for cultivating tea - more than half of the tea produced in India, in fact.
