Our Assam Melody is perfect for tea drinkers who may be new to the powerful character of Assam. Rich aroma, more sweet starchy than malty, like roasted plantains. Rounded mouthfeel, malty without being overpowering. Slight notes of raisin. Brisk astringency and not extremely pungent. A solid, 'friendly' Assam, from the well-regarded Meleng Estate.
This tea contains a high level of caffeine | Steep at 212° for 3-5 minutes.

“ This tea reminds me of a favorite black tea from years ago. The company changed their mix of tea and the taste changed and not for the better. I spent years trying to find the same flavor I remembered...this tea is very very close. A blend of keemun and this tea pretty much hits the spot! A lovely Assam with fragrant malt/raisin undertones. I love this with a splash of lemon and just a little bit of stevia to sweeten. Makes a lovely cup of tea :)
1/14/21 - still one of my favorite black teas from Adagio! A slice of lemon and just a touch of stevia and I'm in heaven!
12/15/2023 - This tea is a staple in my tea stash. Lovely black tea flavor. Great to blend with, or sip plain. Yum!
